Evening all.
I took my trip to Food Warehouse this morning.  Dear me, what a load of ultra processed rubbish they do sell, to be sure.   There are some treasures though and I made a mental note of some things to get when I am no longer trying to run down my freezer.
I got three ready meals - marry me chicken pasta, beef rendang and the duck noodles that I have had before and loved.  These meals look to be minimally processed and the recipe is on the wrapper so it can be made again at home.
I bought one bag of rubbish (I looked at the ingredients list) - the SW caramelised sausages - I have no idea what they're like and don't intend to have them very often but will let you know.
And finally I bought a pack of SW tomato and mozzarella ravioli and a bag of frozen raspberries.  Heidi (our consultant) waxes lyrical about the ravioli - I will make my own sauce for it and am looking forward to trying it.

What I ate today:

Breakfast was fruit loaded waffles.
I use this recipe for the waffles.
https://sw-the-med-way.blogspot.com/2026/01/recipe-basic-discard-pancakeswaffles.html
It was delicious.

Half a fibre choice for wholemeal flour, half a swip for some kefir and half a healthy fats choice for the mixed seeds.

A sort of Caesar salad for lunch with various swips, etc, so I needed to list them.
Lettuce, cucumber, red pepper, tomatoes, capers - all free on SW.
Feta cheese which I had to swip as dinner is my calcium so that's three swips.
Half a healthy fats for olives.
The croutons were half a fibre choice
And the M&S creamy lower fat creamy Caesar dressing, two and a half swips for a level tbsp which is plenty.
So half a fats, half a fibre and five and a half swips.

I chose the SW marry me chicken pasta for dinner.  People at group rave about it so I was willing to give it a go.
These ready meals are good but they are expensive so thank goodness SW puts the recipe on the wrapper because it was rather tasty and I will make it again with a few changes.
I will use wholewheat pasta - fusilli or penne.
I will use broccoli instead of spinach.
Quark is hard to get round here so I will spend some swips on lighter creme fraiche.
I might add other veg.
But, in essence, it was lovely.
It's one calcium choice.

I couldn't manage all of it so I will have it tomorrow for lunch with planned soup and I can add more veg like mushroom and pepper - and broccoli!

Summary:
Healthy extras:  one of each
Swips:  six - I thought it would be more.

What I am eating tomorrow:

B:  avocado on toast, egg, mushroom and tomato

L:  soup from the freezer

D:  roast beef roast dinner

And fruit

Exercise:  Lindsey's WOW (Workout of the Week)
