Spiced apple pancakes with yogurt/kefir yogurt.
I used cinnamon for the spice and added a drizzle of maple syrup which I very much prefer to honey.
Three swips for the pancakes, half a swip for the kefir, two swips for maple syrup and part of a healthy oils choice for a few sprays of avocado oil to cook the pancakes.

Earlier this week, I made a lentil and roasted vegetable soup using turkey stock.  It turned out rather 'sweet' so I added some miso paste to it and that did the stick.  It was still a bit sweet but in a savoury way, if that makes sense.
The soup was SW free and the toast was a calcium and a fibre plus one swip for chutney.
It was lovely!

It's a small plate but, yes, that's quite a lot of chicken.  I've been feeling a bit 'hungry' of an evening so I'm hoping this will keep me satisfied.
The chutney is one and a half swips and I used the rest of my healthy fats in oil for the roasted parsnips and carrots.

Summary:
Healthy extras:  one of each
Swips:  eight


After this evening's roast, I have a fair bit of chicken to use up.

B:  fruit and yogurt

L:  smokey beans on toast (might add some shreds of chicken to it)

D:  orzo puttanesca (will definitely add some chicken to this).  I have this recipe saved in Readly; it was in Woman's Weekly at some point.

Exercise:  circuits class.

  1. Oh yes me too feeling peckish of an evening - I’m sure it’s just weather related and therefore not being as busy and out and about as otherwise would be the case so more time to think ‘do I need / want to eat something’. Melanie
