Sunday, 08-03-26: a bit longer than usual!

Evening!!

First of all, yesterday's (Saturday's) meals - definitely not on Slimming World.
I was on a coach trip to Cambridge.

I went into a very nice place just opposite Kings College, the Copper Kettles, and had avocado toast and a lovely coffee.

Later on, I bought a chicken and lamb wrap from a Cypriot food stall in the market.  No photos and it was absolutely delicious!

This was dinner - some hm lasagne.  It was OK on SW although the chocolate I had afterwards definitely was NOT!

Now on to my first OddBox.  I've just started subscribing and it was delivered overnight.  I also had some eggs and the whole lot is stuff that is wonky, surplus to requirements or in other wats destined for landfill.

I've chopped the carrots and the onions and they are now in the freezer.  I already have pears so I think I will poach the ones in the box and freeze them too.

It was a lot for a 'small' box and looks lovely.

I made the soup with some left over chopped tomato plus some garden tomato from the freezer, base mix, roasted red pepper, garlic granules, chicken stock and some milk added when reheating.
The blood orange (past of the OddBox) didn't peel  and it was delicious.  I haven't had a blood orange for years and years, probably decades!
Part of a calcium healthy extra for the milk.  The rest was free and almost entirely speed.
.
I had some fruit between brunch and dinner
I used the last of the SW caramelised onion sausages in this pasta dinner.  I doubt very much I will be getting any more ; I ought not to be eating sausage much anyway so on the few occasions I treat myself, I will use really good quality ones.
I also added one slice of bacon, chopped, as I had that left over too.
So this was onion, peppers, baby corn, mushrooms, chopped tomatoes, the leftovers of the lunchtime soup and hm rye tagliatelle, some bbq sauce and various seasonings.  Very nice and it made enough for two portions.
One and a half calciums, one healthy fats (oil) and I think that was it as the SW sausage are swip free.

Summary
Healthy extras:  two calciums and one fats/oils
I think it was all swip free.

Brunch:  the leftover pasta with coleslaw and a side salad
Dinner:  chicken bacon burger with more salad (I'll make enough to last the whole day)
Abd fruit
Exercise is circuits class.

Friday, 06-03-26

Good evening, all.
Weigh day this morning and I lost two and a half pounds - THAT'S better!!  Now to keep up the good work as I continue to settle into a two meals a day routine plus fruit.  😇
(I don't expect or want to lose that much each week, but it's been a bit slow recently)
Brunch - a very delicious bacon in a roll with some bbq sauce and a little salad on the side.
One fibre for the roll, one swip for the bbq sauce and one and a half swips for some salad cream.

I didn't photos dinner - hm lasagne and I finished off the salad.
I didn't eat all the lasagne so that's for tomorrow.

I'm out on a coach trip to Cambridge so things are going to be a bit unpredictable.  I'll have brunch there and have lasagne for dinner.
And fruit
And plenty of steps!

Thursday, 05-03-26

Good evening.

I used my usual recipe for the waffles, flavoured with garlic and onion granules and some smoked paprika.
I tried to open the waffle maker before the inside had cooked so, of course, the top and bottom separated and it was a bit of a struggle getting it all out eventually - and it was a right mess!  Still tasted great though.

Half a fibre and half a fats/oils.  Swip free.

Dinner.  The potato and the broccoli were leftovers from last night - I couldn't manage more than about half of the potato.
One calcium and three swips for the cheese.
Five swips for the sausages.
One and a half swips for salad cream - I just love salad cream on a jacket potato - don't hate me!
The gravy is swip free.

Afters was some grapes.

Summary:
Healthy extras:  one calcium, half a fibre and half a healthy fats
Nine and a half swips.

Brunch:  Alex is round and we are going to have bacon butties with a side salad.

D:  hm vegetable lasagne, more salad or side veg.

And fruit

Wednesday, 04-03-26

Hi, everyone.  It's earlier today because I am off out to the Harvester for dinner and won't be taking any photos.

I roasted some sweet potato, onion, peppers and tomatoes to have in an omelette adding sauce and cheese and with mushrooms on the side.
Some of a healthy fats choice, two calciums and one swip for some sauce.

Eating out for dinner and plan to have chargrilled chicken, jacket potato and veg - five swips, says SW.  I'll probably bring some of it home and I'm taking a container with me.  :-)
At the moment I am having two meals a day rather than three.

Br:  savoury waffles with egg, mushroom and tomatoes
D:  bangers and mash or jacket potato, veg on the side
And fruit

Tuesday, 03-02-36

Evening, everyone.  Meals are getting back to normal, thankfully.

I bought some einkorn flour.  Einkorn is a very ancient grain.  Some of the properties of Einkorn flour separate it from modern wheat. The protein level in Einkorn flour is around 30% higher than modern wheat, there is close to 15% less starch, and you’ll find a higher concentration of minerals, dietary fibre and B vitamins. This makes Einkorn ancient wheat such a unique proposition for wholemeal baking.

Matthews Einkorn flour has a flavour that can be compared to modern wheat but with richer undertones of nut and a more toast-like essence. Einkorn is perfect for rustic bakes or comfort food like banana bread and pancakes.

(Info taken from here and mine is not from this company)

A yummy brunch.  I used my usual pancake/waffle sourdough batter recipe with einkorn flour rather than buckwheat and I have to say it was really tasty.

I just poured the lot into a smallish pan, put on the lid and let it cook over a lowish heat.  When it was almost done, I popped it under the frill to finish the top.

The fruit is all from the freezer - apple, cherries and some of my garden blueberries.

Half a healthy extra fibre, a bit of a healthy fats choice (spray avo oil) and the rest is speed or free although I am counting one swip for sweetener.

For dinner, I warmed up the second third of the turkey, veg and linguini mixture, topped it with grated cheese and browned it off alongside the parsnip and carrot chips in the air fryer.

One calcium choice and a bit more healthy fats (spray avo oil for roasting).

Before Groove and first thing in the morning I had two apples, I had a pear in the afternoon and I had five swips worth of Green and Black dark (70%) chocolate.  I read that it's much better than lower cocoa solids chocolate and a little bit satisfies - and it did.  I wasn't the least bit craving any more, even though I really enjoyed nibbling it.

Summary:
Health extras:  one calcium, half a fibre and half a fats/oils
Six swips

Two meals plus fruit seems to be suiting me so . . .

Brunch:  omelette wrap with roasted vegetables
D:  bangers and mash, veg on the side  No - I forgot, I'm out with the girls this evening, to the Harvester.  I'll have my usual griddled chicken with lots of lovely salad.
And fruit
Exercise:  personal training

Monday, 02-03-26

Good evening, all.  Today's eating was better - not totally SW but getting there.  I'm still not all that hungry though.

I had this fruit for lunch.  Swip free, two speeds.  :-)

A sort of linguini turkey thing with home made buckwheat linguini, the same batch as the ravioli.  It was nicer - maybe freezing improves it.

Anyway - I managed a third of what's in the bowl and I've divided the rest into two portions, one for the freezer and one for tomorrow's lunch.
Some of a calcium choice and some of a healthy fats.  No swips.
Afters was a pear.  I have a lot of pears to use up!

B:  fruit
L:  Not sure - maybe waffles with something.
D:  some of the turkey linguini thing with some grated cheese on top

Exercise:  Groove and the walk there and back.

Sunday, 01-03-26

 Good evening, all.

Today was NOT a good Slimming World today.  No overeating, quite the opposite, I simply wasn't hungry.

I had some grapes mid afternoon and . . .

. . . cheese on toast for dinner.  It totally filled me up for two calcium choices, one fibre and three swips.

Definitely not SW.

Tomorrow's plans:

B:  fruit
L:  something on toast
D:  I thawed out turkey for tonight so I must have that tomorrow.  I might make it a roast dinner or it might end up with pasta or something.

Wish me luck because right now the thought of more food isn't great.  I'm not unwell,  just not hungry.

And big no - I'm not on Mounjaro or anything else that supresses appetite, I'm just - not hungry.  Weird.

Monday, 28-09-26

Good evening, all.   No breakfast - I wasn't hungry! I met Alex in town and we ended up going to Zizzi where I had a chicken Caesar sala...
