Monday, 10-08-26

Good evening, everyone.  Home after a lovely weekend where I ate and drank not wisely, but well.  Now back to it again.

I'll post some montages of the weekend's indulgencies at the bottom - so you don't have to see them if you'd rather not

Last breakfast at Five Lakes (for now).  Not healthy!!
Nice sausages though.

I wasn't hungry so had fruit for lunch
Alex, grandson, was round and he asked for
sausages, cheesy mash and roasted carrots.  I had two falafel patties from the freezer and I made  a tomato, onion and pepper sauce for us both.
Delicious.

No SW values - they start again tomorrow.

B:  overnight oats

L:  chicken salad

D:  beany pasta bake

Exercise:  Groove and the walk there and back.

Thursday, 06-08-26

   Good evening, everyone!

I shall be away over the weekend so won't be posting again until Monday evening

Definitely a 'use it up' day today.
I finished off the pack of bacon and the last three slightly wizened mushrooms and, at the moment, I'm losing the race with the tomatoes (which is why a lot is going into the freezer.)

This was swip free.

Later on, I had an apple.

A very delicious toastie with some salad.
One fibre for the bread, one calcium for cheese and one and a half swips for chutney.

Afters was another apple.  They don't need using up, I just love apples!

Dinner started with half an avocado that - yup, used eating up.  I didn't take a photo; it was just half an avo with balsamic vinegar.
That was my oils/fats choice.

I finished off a jar of chickpeas to make these chickpea/falafel patties - I made five and two are now frozen.  The sauce was just onion, pepper and tomato with seasonings.
And I cooked too many noodles and ate the lot because they wouldn't last until I could eat the rest up.  Oh, well . . .

One swip for some gram flour.

And that was that!

Summary:
Healthy extras:  one of each
Two and a half swips.

B:  It's a taster session at group.

L:  don't know

D:  don't know

Have a good weekend - see you again Monday!

  Good evening, everyone!

Sorry about yesterday evening - I have one photo to share from yesterday.

I had one of the rest of the eggy bites (I make six at a time) before I went to personal training and the other two for breakfast with some hm baked beans.

A mixed salad for lunch with chicken and avocado.

One and a half swips for chutney
Two thirds of a healthy oils for avocado.

Afters was an apple.

I had got dinner planned but didn't fancy it so I had some marmite on toast (my fibre), some cheese (a calcium) and some cooked chicken that needed to be eaten today.  Just bits and bobs but satisfying.

healthy extras: one calcium, one fibre and nearly one oils/fats
six swips

B:  bacon, egg and tomatoes

L:  cheese and chutney toastie, salad

D:  chick pea patties, salad, chutney
(I have made some chutney using tomatoes from the garden)

I changed the recipe quite considerably to match what I had.

Sunday, 02-08-26

   Good evening, everyone!

I started the day off with an apple.

Pink pancakes for breakfast.  Pink because I added some beetroot powder which should off but actually tasted really nice.  Plus bacon, tomatoes and some maple syrup.

One and a half swips for the maple syrup and three swips for the flour for the pancakes.  I don't think the beetroot powder carries any swips.

A very simple salad for lunch.  Chicken, feta, chickpeas and grapes with a light Caesar dressing.

Two and a half swips for the dressing and four calcium swips for the feta.

Afters was an easy peeler

I was well chuffed with this.  Home made bread, home made burger, home grown tomatoes, home made tomato chutney . . . so tasty!

The rest of my calcium and two swips for cheese (or part of a second calcium), one fibre for the bread and one and a half swips for the cbutney.

Regarding the chutney, pretty much all chutneys are one and a half swips per level tbsp so that's what I am saying.

And five swips for the wafers.

Summary:
healthy extras - one and a bit Cs, one F and no O/F
thirteen and a half swips

B:  fruit and yogurt

L:  falafels (from the freezer) with a garlic mint dressing, salad

D:  Italian style lentil bolognaise, salad
(recipe from a Mindful Chef booklet I picked up at the Sandringham Flower Show)

Saturday, 01-08-26

   Good evening, everyone!
Apologies for last night's non appearance.  It was all a bit of a car crash as far as food was concerned and I'm not going to go into it, just post the one photos I did take.

I used up the other half of the spag bol, adding chick peas and chilli, and it was very tasty.
No idea of swips, sorry!

A fruit platter for breakfast - the raspberries are a few more of the early autumn ones and they're very nice.
All free and mostly speed.

My neighbour popped round with a thank you gift for watering her garden last week.  They are little wafer things and one pack is 45 calories or two and a half swips,
I'm going to see if I can limit myself to one, or at the very most, two pack a day and I will swip what I have.

A very tasty tomato, bacon and feta filled omelette for lunch.  I had planned salad too but it wasn't needed.
I also thought I would sample some tomato chutney I made this morning but I forgot.  Never mind.

Two oil swips and four calcium swips.

Later on I had an apple.

The chicken tikka skewers were absolutely delicious.  Just mix curry paste with yogurt and lime juice and marinate chicken chunks for as long as you've got.  Thread on skewers with cherry tomatoes and bake in the air fryer, 175C for 12-15 mins.

One and a half swips for the curry paste.
Half a swip for salad dressing.
The glorious grains are five swips for the whole pouch.  I wondered what could be attracting the swips and it's just olive oil so I'm counting what I had as two oil swips.

Summary:
healthy extras:  nearly one calcium and nearly one oil/fats
swips:  four and a half swips so I'm gong to indulge in another wafer thingy to make it seven swips altogether.

B:  waffles or pancakes, bacon and tomatoes (maybe with some maple syrup! ?)

L:  chicken, chickpea and feta salad

D: smashed burgers, chips and salad
